Community pasture at Spy Hill recognized for its birds and biodiversity
Mar 5, 2019
We might think of it as just another community pasture, but the area around Spy Hill on the eastern border of this province is an important place for birds and nature. It's so special that it's a breeding area for two threatened species... and so special that it and a neighbouring pasture in Manitoba are being recognized by Bird Studies Canada, along with Nature Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Christian Artuso is with Bird Studies Canada, and he's the Coordinator of the Manitoba Breeding Bird Atlas.
