Ground penetrating radar used to locate grave sites at former Kuper Island residential school
Penelakut Tribe has shared with the community that more than 160 undocumented and unmarked graves have been found in the area of the former Kuper Island Residential School. To learn more about how the work was done to locate the graves sites, Kathryn Marlow spoke with Eric Simons. He is a PhD candidate in the UBC department of anthropology, and part of the small team who worked with Penelakut Tribe.
