New art installation called "CX 889" marks the 25th anniversary of the Handover of Hong Kong to China
The iconic Kai Tak International Airport in Hong Kong was shut down one year after Hong Kong was handed back to China under the "one country, two systems" principle.
The Handover prompted a wave of immigration to Vancouver in the early 1990s.
And as we approach the 25th Anniversary of the Handover the Vancouver Art Gallery is hosting an exhibit that pays homage to Kai Tak airport.
It's called "CX 889." Our Vivian Luk met up with the artist.
