Grade 5 and 6 students in Etobicoke, write a book about experiences of the war in Ukraine

Canada remains a haven for families fleeing the Ukrainian war. Among them are the students in Grade 5 and 6 at St. Demetrius School in Etobicoke. They have written a book called ‘Building Bridges’. It documents their experiences and the challenges faced leaving their homes and starting a new life in a new country. Svyatoslav Volos is a Grade 6 student at St. Demetrius School. He contributed to the book. And Bridgit Dawson is his teacher. They spoke on the show.
