Université Laval study says Quebecers have a poor understanding of COVID-19 risks
Friday, September 11 marked six months to the day since a global pandemic was declared by the WHO. Despite blitzing the population with information about how the virus is spread, through public health officials and the media, a new study concludes that Quebecers have a poor understanding of the risk of getting the virus and the complications that come with contracting it. The study involved 1500 people between the ages of 18 and 70 between July 20th and 30th. Charles Bellemare is co author of the study for the inter-university research group known as CIRANO and a professor of behavioural economics at Laval University. Guest host Kim Garritty asked him about the main conclusions of his research.
