VIDO research provides insight into possible long-term health impacts associated with COVID-19
It may seem that with public health restrictions being lifted in this province -- that the pandemic is coming to an end. But for many COVID-19 long haulers, there is no end in sight. One in three of those who contract COVID-19 can go on to develop persistent symptoms. One of the newest scientists at the University of Saskatchewan’s Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) has published new research on potential lasting effects of COVID-19. Alyson Kelvin is a scientist with VIDO Intervac in Saskatoon.
