What abortion access could look like in a post-Roe v. Wade United States
24:08
Activist and writer Robin Marty saw it coming. Like many others, she suspected reproductive rights in the United States would come under increasing threat as the Supreme Court's makeup leaned right. Her 2019 book, Handbook for a Post-Roe America, is a manual aimed at helping readers understand that shift and find the healthcare they need. Marty has covered the pro-choice and anti-abortion movements and spent more than a decade tracking related laws in various states. She joins Piya Chattopadhyay to talk about how we arrived at this moment, what the leaked Supreme Court draft decision could mean for access to abortion, and what the future could hold for the pro-choice movement.
