In The Good House, Sigourney Weaver squares off against a different kind of demon — alcoholism
Over the course of her career, actor Sigourney Weaver has squared off against some formidable opponents, including the chestbursting monsters in Alien, the evil hellhounds in Ghostbusters and the robotic war machines in Avatar. In her latest film, The Good House, she's up against a demon you can't defeat with a laser cannon — alcoholism. She stars as Hildy Good, a realtor in a posh Massachusetts town who's forced to reckon with the fact that her drinking problem is slowly destroying all aspects of her life. Ahead of the film’s world premiere tonight at the Toronto International Film Festival, Weaver joined Tom Power live in studio to tell us more.
