How Lowell’s mom helped the pop singer turn her writer's block into a werewolf horror flick
Canadian singer-songwriter Lowell found herself face-to-face with writer's block, so she decided to write a horror film with her mom, producer Wendy Hill-Tout. The movie is called Bloodthirsty and it puts a different spin on the stereotypical werewolf thriller. Lowell and her mom joined Tom Power to talk about writing the film together and what they learned about each other in the process. Bloodthirsty is out now on demand. This month, it's up for two Canadian Screen Awards, best song (by Lowell) and best score (by Michelle Osis and Lowell).
