Filmmaker Tanya Lapointe on the life and legacy of Quebec paper artist Claude Lafortune
In her new documentary, The Paper Man, filmmaker Tanya Lapointe explains why children's television host and renowned paper artist Claude Lafortune was so important to generations of Quebecois kids. Lafortune’s long-running children's show, Parcels of Sunshine, was entertaining, but it also celebrated cultural and physical differences, and provided a platform for kids from all backgrounds to tell their stories openly and honestly. Lapointe joined guest host Talia Schlanger live on the air to tell us more about the life and legacy of Lafortune, who died back in April from COVID-19.
