Fighting Human Trafficking in Saskatchewan and Canada
Human trafficking is happening in our own backyards. Today we learned about Hope Restored, a house in Saskatoon that helps women leave sexual exploitation and/or human trafficking. We heard from Priscilla Settee, a faculty member in Indigenous Studies at the University of Saskatchewan who is researching human trafficking on the prairies. We also went outside the province to speak to Bridget Perrier, survivor of human trafficking and co-founder of anti-sex trafficking lobbying group Sex Trade 101, and Kate Quinn the Executive Director of the Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation or CEASE.
