The percentage of people over the age of 65 years in Saskatchewan is projected to increase from 14.4% to about 23% by 2038. Those people want their lives to be as full as possible; that includes being involved in their community and having access to good transportation, healthcare and housing options.
The Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism (SSM) has conducted research into how older adults in Saskatchewan can live productively, affordably and safely for their entire lives. We spoke with Randy Dove from the SSM and we also heard from seniors all across the province.
