British Columbia Premier John Horgan campaigned on a promise last fall to overhaul the way the province manages old-growth forests, including a pause on logging until a new strategy is confirmed. Since then, his government has approved logging plans at a faster rate than the year before. Now, more than 125 protesters have been arrested in the area around the Fairy Creek watershed on southern Vancouver Island and independent forest ecologist Rachel Holt says it's time for the government to start delivering on its promise.
