Recipe: Mediterranean-Style Marinade
Up your dinner game with this fresh, flavourful marinade, perfect for the BBQ or stovetop cooking
This Mediterranean-Style Marinade is great with seafood, chicken, pork or firm veggies such as mushrooms, eggplant, broccoli and peppers.
- ½ cup olive oil
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- Large handful of parsley, roughly chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Pinch of chili flakes
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl or in zipper seal bag. Add desired protein to bag or bowl. Stir or massage marinade into protein. If using chicken, pork or veggies, marinate for 1 hour or overnight. If using seafood you can cook your protein right away or up to an hour of marinating.
Grill seafood on a BBQ, grill pan, cast iron or non-stick pan over medium high heat. When cooked through squeeze over fresh lemon and freshly chopped parsley.
