Recipe: Eggnog Affogato
A nice after-dinner holiday treat, this Eggnog Affogato will have all your guests screaming in excitement!
- 8 scoops vanilla ice cream (or your choice)
- 2 cups eggnog
- 2 cups freshly brewed hot espresso
- 8 crushed amaretti cookies
- Straw cookies (vanilla chocolate swirl)
Scoop ice cream into heat proof low glasses, place in freezer on a tray until ready to serve. Whip 35% cream with sugar until firm peaks form. Brew espresso right before service. Pour espresso on top of ice cream, then add egg nog. Garnish with crushed amaretti cookies and straw cookie.
