Once upon a time, adorning your walls with wallpaper required a long-term aesthetic commitment — and plenty of paste. Nowadays, a removable, peel-and-stick formulation is wildly popular and widely available. Just like decorating with decals, these self-adhesive wallpapers — and murals, too — are a lower-commitment way to add a pretty pattern to just about any space. That means they're great for embracing trends and going a little bolder than you may have in the past, and they're awesome options for rentals, kids' rooms, and very short-term design projects, like events.

Most of the removable peel-and-stick papers we've found are pricier than their traditional paste counterparts, but they're easier to install (many are repositionable). The vast majority of temporary wallpaper is made with vinyl, making it removable, durable, and often washable.

The internet makes it easy to shop for wallpaper from home, but if you're undecided about texture or colour, most sellers sell samples. Below, we've rounded up a collection of gorgeous murals and wallpapers featuring eye-catching colours, graphic prints, beautiful botanicals, and stunning patterns for papering your walls.

This pattern will have you seeing spots, in a very stylish way. Use Rocky Mountain Decals' Wallpaper Previewer to see what it would look like in your space. Then use their calculator to figure out exactly how much you'll need — orders come with a free decal applicator tool.
