  • 1 pack of eggs
  • Blue and green food colouring
  • Acrylic paint for makeup
  • Small paint brush
  • Black fine tip marker
  • Dried florals
  • Hot glue gun + glue
  • Floral wire

  1. Boil your eggs in a pot of water to make them hard-boiled
  2. Let them cool down while you prep your dye
  3. Fill a bowl with about 2 cups of water and add desired colour of food colouring, stir until colour is completely mixed
  4. For the ombre effect, dip your egg in and hold for 30-60 seconds so that part of the egg is saturated in colour
  5. Once satisfied with the colour add another ½ cup of water to the same bowl and re-dip the egg. Only now holding for 15-20 seconds
  6. From here you will see that your first dip is much darker than your second dip (hence the ombre effect!)
  7. Remove egg and sit to dry

  1. Once your eggs are dry take your floral wire and measure a circle around the top of the egg
  2. Twist the ends around each other to secure and then snip the extra wire off
  3. With your dried florals begin to wrap the wire of the flowers around the wire of your crown until completely full
  4. When complete, put the crown on the egg and hot glue gun the back of the crown to the egg to secure it in place
  5. To make the eggs face, take your fine tip marker and draw two closed eyes, eyelashes, a nose and lips
  6. For a little added cuteness fill in lips and cheeks with red and pink acrylic paint!
