After all, the holidays are the perfect time to take a breather!

Gifts that make someone's space, or day, a little more soothing might be more appreciated than ever this year. Aromatherapy uses scent to promote overall well-being, and there's a wide array of products that diffuse different kinds of scents in interesting ways. While essential oil diffusers have become extremely popular, they aren't the only way to incorporate aromatherapy into one's environment and daily routine. (Perhaps a lucky giftee will get more than one therapeutic present from you this year!) Below are some interesting aromatherapy gifts to choose from.

The Vancouver-based wellness brand sells everything from essential oils to skincare accessories and sleeping masks, but their standout offering is this stone diffuser, housed in a matte ceramic cover that's available in five versatile colours.

Stone Diffuser, $119, Vitruvi

Shopping for someone with more eclectic taste in home decor? This white and gold palm diffuser should do the trick, while still offering the relaxing benefits everyone's after.

Ellia Palm Queen Petal Diffuser, $32.99, Shoppers Drugmart

Made of natural oils and warm notes of amber, vanilla and rose, not only is the scent of this hand-crafted, cruelty-free candle intoxicating, but once it's melted, it can be used as a warm, luxurious and fragrant massage oil. Consider it two gifts in one.

Du Soleil Candle, $63, Immunocologie

Formulated with frankincense and neroli, this organic argan oil can be used on face, body, hair and nails, making it perfect for the beauty lover in your life. They can reap the benefits of aromatherapy while doing their beauty routine.

Argan & Frankincense Facial Oil, $42, Helena Lane

Designed as an anti-stress supplement, this unisex fragrance is formulated with notes of cardamom, iris, Palo Santo and cilantro. The result? This clean, woody and smoky blend.

The Nue Co. Functional Fragrance, $39, Urban Outfitters

Featuring the brand's best-selling and cult fave Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and Sleep Plus Pillow Spray, which are made with a calming blend of lavender, vetivert, and chamomile essential oils to help with falling asleep faster and staying asleep, this set makes a great stocking stuffer for anyone who has sleep issues.

This Works Beauty Sleep Kit, $15, Sephora

Love the idea of pillow sprays but just know the person you're gifting will never remember to use them? Enter: a chamomile-scented pillow. Yes, really! The relaxing scent of chamomile is actually infused into the fabric, promoting a calm, relaxing snooze all night long.

Sunset Sleep Products Chamomile Pillow with Eye Mask Gift Set, $89.99, Sleep Country

This set features two of the Canadian brand's luxe soy wax candles: the relaxing Opulent candle (with notes of citrus, geranium, lavender, vetiver and cedarwood) to soothe and relax, and the bright Atheia candle (with notes of rose, jasmine and lily) to refresh and invigorate.

Deluxe Gift Set, $99, Nanor Collection

Formulated with squalane and rosehip oil to moisturize and soothe skin, as well as calming essential oils to encourage a more restful sleep, this night serum makes for a great gift for anyone who needs to take the edge off of the holiday season.

Dream Deep Restful Night Serum, $78, Eir NYC

As if eye masks weren't relaxing enough, this one is infused with the scent of lavender, peppermint, chamomile and rose geranium, to soothe tired eyes (one too many Zoom calls, anyone?) and help its wearer sleep more soundly.

Aromatherapy Sleep Mask, $32, Warm Buddy

A blend of rosemary, peppermint and eucalyptus oils, this just-launched Toronto-based brand's aromatic oil can be added to a favourite moisturizer or cream for a relaxing scent, or dabbed onto the hairline and/or neck and shoulders to relieve headaches. Its soothing scent is perfect for combating the stress of the holidays.

Essential Remedy Oil Stress-Relief Blend, $17, Empathy Brand Inc.
