First there were 10. Then, week after week, one baker after another was eliminated until only the best of the final three was crowned winner of The Great Canadian Baking Show, Season 5.

And the winner is…

Vincent Chan

What a moment! Our final three bakers find out that Vincent has been crowned winner of The Great Canadian Baking Show Season 5. (Geoff George / The Great Canadian Baking Show)

"I don't know what just happened in there. That was crazy. I can't believe I won. It's just kind of surreal, to be honest. I was baking with two titans today and I can't believe I came out on top," Vincent says.

The 55-year-old graphic designer from Mississauga, Ont. used his artistic eye and precision to earn the title of Season 5 winner. During his run, he won Star Baker twice: once in the first-ever Celebration Week, and again in Pies and Tarts Week.

He adds, "This [win] belongs to all of us, because we all worked so hard to be here and I share this with every single one of the other bakers."
