The Great Canadian Holiday Baking Show (Season 5)
Four bakers from seasons past return to the tent, competing to become Holiday Star Baker.
Hosts Ann Pornel and Alan Shane Lewis welcome four bakers from seasons past to The Great Canadian Baking Show tent for the chance to become this year's Holiday Star Baker. Watch it on CBC TV and streaming on CBC Gem on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT).
Season 1 baker Linda, Season 2's Sachin and Season 3's Jodi and Colin compete in three festive baking challenges. Judges Bruno Feldeisen and Kyla Kennaley taste and deliberate each bake to determine the winner.
LINDA LONGSON (Season 1)
Hometown: High River, Alta.
Occupation: Payroll supervisor

Linda is a devoted grandmother to nine grandkids, for whom she has lovingly baked a cake for each of their birthdays for the last 20 years. An everyday baker, Linda goes through at least four pounds of butter per week and is constantly pushing herself in the kitchen. Her biggest challenge was competing in Season 1 of The Great Canadian Baking Show, where she successfully baked her way to the first-ever finale. Linda is happiest entertaining her large family and many friends, sharing great food and happy memories.
SACHIN SETH (Season 2)
Hometown: Halifax, N.S.
Occupation: Dentist and dental professor

Sachin is a dentist with a serious sweet tooth. When he is not teaching dentistry at Dalhousie University, he enjoys developing unique flavour profiles and honing his decorating skills in his home kitchen. Born and raised in Halifax, Sachin was raised by Indian immigrant parents and his grandmother, who had a huge influence on his approach to food. A Baking Show superfan, Sachin reached the summit of it all in Season 2, baking his way to the grand finale with his signature elegant creations.
JODI ROBSON (Season 3)
Hometown: Regina, Sask.

Jodi is a proud Nakoda Cree baker who was raised on Okanese First Nation, a reserve 81 kilometres outside of Regina. Her love of baking stems from her kokum (grandmother), a journeyman chef who cooked at the last residential school in Lebret, Saskatchewan. Jodi loves to bake for her two daughters, her husband and his wrestling crew. Jodi's elevated rustic bakes often incorporate Indigenous elements, and were a hit with the judges in Season 3 when she baked all the way to the finale.
COLIN ASUNCION (Season 3)
Hometown: Toronto, Ont.
Occupation: Marketing manager

Colin bakes regularly for his family including his two-year-old niece, who is a big fan of his tasty creations. In addition to baking, Colin spends his spare time burning off pastry-induced calories at the gym, performing onstage in concerts and plays, and sharing his baking know-how with the world online and on TV. Colin last baked in the tent in Season 3, reaching the finale alongside fellow holiday baker Jodi. He also lent his vocal talents to the previous Holiday Baking Show, performing carols outside the tent.
