Born in Cuba and raised in Chicago, Bertie is no stranger to the flavours of the world. Prior to the pandemic, Bertie worked in the travel sector and had travelled to over 200 countries. Unfortunately, he recently found himself unemployed (like many others in the travel industry). During the extended time at home, Bertie picked up baking, a former hobby from over a decade ago.
