Exercise Sub Zero - Army cadets from across Atlantic Canada are testing their winter survival skills in Labrador.

zero_cadet_04.jpg Exercise Sub Zero Freezing winds sweeping across the ground…. temperatures dipping to minus thirty, as you trek through a foot of powdered snow…. Most people want to avoid these sort of stuff….but for one group of Senior Army Cadets, it’s the perfect environment to test their winter survival skills. Nearly thirty cadets from all over Atlantic Canada came to Happy Valley - Goose Bay for “Exercise Sub Zero.” The Atlantic Cadet Training School brought their most advanced cadets for a three day, forty kilometer outdoor expedition last week. The group of teenagers had to navigate rugged terrain stretching from Goose River to Dome Mountain. Our Tara McLean met up with them, to see how they were holding up to the challenge….
