
Jean Yoon

Jean Yoon is an actor and playwright based in Toronto and works regularly on both stage and screen. Recent film credits include Bruce McDonald's The Husband, The Time Traveler's Wife and the upcoming feature Rupture directed by Steven Shainberg. Recent television credits include Orphan Black, the acclaimed Syfy series The Expanse and Remedy. Jean voices "Connie" on the Emmy Award winning PBS Kids show Peg + Cat; and she is especially proud of her work on the Radio Canada series L'Or, and on the CBC mini-series Dragon Boys for which she earned a Gemini nomination in 2007. Jean originated the role of "Umma" in the hit Soulpepper Theatre Kim's Convenience, putting in over 240 performances in six cities, and will be expanding the role in the CBC/Thunderbird production Kim's Convenience, premiering on CBC this fall.
