Understanding the difference between stress and anxiety or sadness and depression

In the past few years, a lot of celebrities have spoken publicly about mental health and mental illness.

Superstar athletes Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles have opened up about their own struggles, and so have pop stars such as Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber.

There are even special days and weeks to raise awareness about mental health, such as Bell Let’s Talk Day and mental health week.

But do you know what the term means? What are the stigmas in society about mental health? And what’s the difference between mental wellness and mental illness?
