School closures. Cancelled activities. Wearing masks in class.

If you’ve experienced these things, you probably belong to the COVID generation, or “Gen-C,” meaning part of you were a kid or teen during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Precautions and restrictions may have helped prevent kids from getting sick, but they also had unintended consequences.

Being stuck at home behind screens for much of the past two years has been hard for lots of reasons.

And as restrictions end and Canadians try to “return to normal,” more problems might come up.

Some wonder just what sort of long-term impact the pandemic is going to have on children.
