Rising Star: Devery Jacobs mingles with movie stars

Actor Devery Jacobs is making her mark at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

The festival has identified the 25-year-old as one if its “rising stars,” alongside seven other young actors.

Jacobs, who is from the Kahnawake Mohawk First Nation in Quebec, is one of the lead actors in a new thriller called The Lie.

CBC Kids News caught up with Jacobs on the red carpet at a special event for TIFF’s rising stars.
