#ICYMI — Magician David Blaine uses balloons to fly

In case you missed it, American magician David Blaine flew through the air over the Arizona desert on Sept. 2, while hanging onto a bunch of helium balloons. The stunt, which took about an hour from start to finish, was live streamed on YouTube. Blaine let go of the balloons and used a parachute to get back to the ground. Beginning Sept. 1, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players were able to download yard signs promoting Donald Trump’s rival in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, Joe Biden. Data scientist Ethan Rosenthal wanted to eat a peanut butter and banana sandwich that had banana in every bite. He also had some time on his hands during the COVID-19 pandemic. So the physicist spent five months using a computer to figure out the best way to slice the banana and arrange the pieces on bread. Check out that wallaby in the snow! Wallabies are similar to kangaroos, only smaller. They live in Australia and on neighbouring islands, so they don’t usually have to deal with much snow. On Aug. 17, an aquarium in Valencia, Spain, announced that a baby gentoo penguin had hatched — and that it has two moms. According to a news release from the aquarium, two female penguins built a nest together and successfully raised an egg that had been transferred to them from another penguin couple.
