Brianne is married to Ashton Eaton, who is the 2012 Olympic Champ and world record holder in the decathlon ("deca" means "ten") - a sport that has 3 more events than the heptathlon ("hep" means "seven").

She is a super planner! Before she goes to the amusement park, she maps out all the rides that her and Ashton want to ride to maximize time.

Heptathlon

There's two days of competition. Day one includes 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200m sprint; day two events involve long jump, javelin and 800m run.

Girl power! It’s only women who compete in the heptathlon event.

Athletes need to use six different pairs of shoes for the heptathlon - each is specially designed for each event. That's a heavy gym bag!
