Flying hamster and nose-picking gorilla win photo awards!

First Place prize went to Austrian photographer Julian Rad for his shot of a chubby hamster titled Rush Hour. (Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards)

We all know that animals can act pretty goofy sometimes. Now, some of them are getting some well-deserved recognition for doing just that in the new Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.

Organized by U.K.-born, Tanzania-based photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks, the awards were handed out to those photographers who managed to capture, at just the right moment, animals being their hilarious selves. At the same time, the contest had a serious conservation message: photographers were not to traumatize any of the animals they were photographing or be banned for life from the competition.

And for the winning photographer there was a cool prize: a one-week trip to Tanzania to hang out and photograph more animals with Joynson-Hicks. What a great trip! Let's have a look at the winning photos.
