6 easy-to-make halloween snacks

 

Have you been invited to a Halloween party or are you throwing one yourself? These simple and spook-tastic Halloween finger foods will be the highlight of your boo-bash. But beware — some of the snacks may impress (and gross out) your friends.

The instructions are in the videos below; you may want to ask a parent for help.

 

1. Vampire Teeth

What you’ll need:

  • Apple slices (ask an adult to cut these for you)
  • Chocolate spread (Nutella works)
  • Mini marshmallows
  • (Optional) Strawberry, raspberry or red colour jam

 

2. Six-Legged Spider Cookies

What you’ll need:

  • Cream-filled cookies (think Oreos!)
  • Candy-coated chocolate
  • Pretzel sticks depend on how many spiders you plan to make - make sure to count out beforehand!
  • Icing

 

3. Ear Wax Sticks

What you’ll need:

  • White candy sticks
  • Mini white marshmallows
  • Peanut butter OR butterscotch ice cream topping (for those with nut allergies)

 

4. Cheesy Broomsticks

What you’ll need:

  • Pretzel sticks
  • Cheese strings
  • Green onions
  • Scissors
     

 

5. Orange Pumpkins

What you’ll need:

  • Clementine oranges
  • Green gummy worms
  • Scissors (to cut the gummies)

 

6. Cheesy Mummy

What you’ll need:

  • Rice cake
  • Nori seaweed sheets
  • Mozzarella cheese (ask an adult to slice this for you)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Scissors
  • Bologna (Optional if you want a more meaty sandwich)
