6 easy-peasy holiday treats

Everyone loves yummy treats, but this time of year, why not add some holiday fun to snack time? Whether you'd like to munch on something packed with holiday cheer, or want to wow your friends at a Christmas or Hanukkah party, these simple and seasonal finger-food recipes have you covered for all your festive needs! 

Find the instructions in the videos below and ask your parents for help with any of the sharper steps.

1. Frosty doughnut snowmen

What you'll need:

  • Mini powdered doughnuts
  • Candy-coated chocolates (be sure to get a few orange ones)
  • Candy fruit leather
  • Wooden skewers 
  • Black food colouring (optional)

2. Cheesy reindeer 

What you'll need:

  • Soft cheese triangles
  • Pretzels
  • Sliced pimento olives (ask an adult to cut these for you)
  • Black food colouring for the eyes (optional)

3. Marshmallow dreidels

What you'll need:

  • Marshmallows
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Chocolate rosebuds
  • Blue gel icing

4. Strawberry Santa hats

What you'll need:

  • Strawberries
  • Two-bite brownies
  • Whipped cream

5. Chocolate candy menorah

What you'll need:

  • Chocolate candy cut into twos (ask an adult to slice these for you)
  • Yellow jelly beans
  • Chocolate bar
  • Chocolate icing

6. Ice cream cone Christmas trees

What you'll need:

  • Ice cream cones
  • Icing
  • Sprinkles or small candies (or both!)
