Residents hope to use the old Spences Bridge as a pedestrian crossing (photo courtesy Flickr/blizzy63).

Their old bridge may no longer be safe for vehicles, but many of the people in Spences' Bridge would still like to use it.

The bridge was closed by the Ministry of Transportation back in January.

Now there's a move to convert it - for pedestrians only.

Dwayne Rourke lives in Spences Bridge.

He is one of the people urging a new life for the old bridge.
