Smiles for Chalyce - Darin and Kathleen Meek

There is help out there for teens going through depression and other mental illnesses. The parents of 17-year-old Chalyce Meek, who took her life a few years ago, are now raising money and awareness for the Kids Help Phone. They are hoping to help young people thru their darkest moments. Darin and Kathleen Meek join us in the studio.

The Smiles for Chalyce team has so far raised 24 thousand dollars for the kids help phone.

Micah Gallant's Home Renovations

Four-year old Micah Gallant suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, and can't walk. His family wants him to be independent, so they've decided to gut their home, and completely rebuild it to make it accessible. We spoke with Micah Gallant and his family, and hear how their friends, family and neighbours are helping them reach their goal. The family expects to be back in their renovated homes in two or three weeks.

Ken Dryden on Concussions

Athletes, coaches, trainers and medical professionals are all coming together tomorrow night in Charlottetown to talk about concussions. A discussion led by hockey legend Ken Dryden.
