Summerside YMCA childcare centre closing

Parents with children at the Summerside YMCA daycare were notified that the daycare will close December 20th. YMCA officials say the decision has been made because of low enrollment. The facility is designed to accommodate 50 children, but only 25 are enrolled. The CBC's Robyn Miller spoke to parents yesterday as they picked up their kids. Gaylene Reis and her boyfriend have 5 children there - four in after-school care and one who's there all day. Twelve staff work there.Download Flash Player to view this content.
