Montreal Expos Nostalgia
Posted by Nancy Russell

It's World Series time - a favourite time of the year for baseball fans. But it's bittersweet for Montreal Expos fan Campbell Webster. It is now ten years since the Expos left Montreal...and 20 years since the team almost won the World Series. But a little piece of Expos history lives on at Campbell Webster's coffee shop in Charlottetown. Island Morning's Nancy Russell dropped by Timothy's World Coffee to check out a pair of stadium seats -- with roots in Montreal.

A ticket to one of these two seats from Opening Day at Jarry Park in 1969.

These are World Series tickets for the Montreal Expos games in 1994 that were cancelled because of the strike.

Baseball in Japan
Posted by Bill van Asperen
Five young ball players from P.E.I. will be going to Japan this summer to learn more about the game and meet other players from 15 countries. These players had to earn the trip, not with their bats or gloves, they had to write an essay to get in on the trip.
William Lyons and Caleb Drake from Cardigan. Christopher MacDougall and Jackson Sherren from Cornwall. Landon Gallant or Richmond. And chaperone/coach Blair Creelman is from Summerside.
