Teacher cutbacks concern parents in Montague
Some parents in Montague have done their homework and say the province's latest teacher cuts are hitting their schools a lot harder than in other parts of PEI.
Shauna Mellish has a daughter in Grade Two at Montague Consolidated. She says of the 32 teaching positions being cut across the Island -- 10 per cent are coming from her school. She says it's just as unfair across the entire Montague family of schools... which are taking a THIRD of the provincial cuts.
We also hear from the Superintendent of the English school board, Cynthia Fleet.
