Propane concerns for new school

PropaneLeak2012.jpgIn 2012, a propane leak at the Irving-owned facility on Allen street in Charlottetown once again raised concerns about whether such a facility should be moved out of the residential area. City and provincial politicians said it should be re-located to the industrial park. But that didn't happen.

There are renewed concerns now that Immanuel Christian school recently announced plans to move directly across the street from the propane plant. Our Associate Producer Lindsay Carroll joined us in the studio.

Measle Shots - Dr. Heather Morrison

Measles.jpgConcern over the risk of a measles outbreak has PEI health officials launching a three-pronged strategy to get more people immunized. The latest tracking for PEI in 2012 reveals only 84% of children received this shot by two years of age. What is the province doing to raise those numbers?

Storm Bound - Interviews, Calls and Emails

SnowDayPicsx4.jpgYesterday it was safer to just stay inside. High winds, blowing snow and white-out conditions made the couch look that much more appealling. In fact, the 53 centimetres of snowfall shattered the snowfall record of 34 centimetres set on March 14th, 1967. CBC's Robyn Miller got in touch with some storm bound islanders to see how they spent the snowy day.
