Pesticide Protest - Sharon Labchuk

A PEI environmentalist plans to break the law to prove a point by spreading non-toxic corn gluten on the lawn outside Province House. Sharon Labchuk says it's absurd that corn gluten - a legal livestock feed supplement - is on PEI's list of banned pesticides. She joined us in the Island Morning studio.

Turkish Protests - Hurol Karayol

For close to two weeks the country of Turkey has been gripped by its largest street protests in decades. Hurol Karayol is originally from Istanbul, Turkey. He now lives in Charlottetown where he and his wife Handan operate Handan's cafe. He's been keenly watching what's been going on back home and shares his thoughts with us.
