MurrayMurphyPaulMacNeillSueConnolly.jpgThe Spring sitting of the legislature has wrapped...and it's summer break for Island politicians. But everyone knows before the break starts... there's the end of the year report card to bring home.

Our Island Morning Political panel will be filling in as teachers this morning, as they hand out GRADES. Publisher Paul MacNeill joins us on the line this morning from Sydney Cape Breton. Sue Connolly and Murray Murphy join us in the studio, both are lawyers in Charlottetown.

It shouldn't be too much longer before the PEI government wraps up its business in the legislature. There hasn't been a whole lot of business to conduct so far in the spring sitting, according to our legislative reporter Kerry Campbell. But he always finds something to talk about, and he joins us now for another edition of Kerry in the House.

Independent Tory Olive Crane demanded to know why Community Services Minister Valerie Docherty underspent her social assistance grants by  2 million dollars.  Docherty says there were fewer people eligible this year for social assistance... hense the surplus. Crane says the money should have been spent elsewhere.  It's just one of the many 'money related ' topics discussed with our Island Morning Political Panel.

Paul MacNeill is the publisher of the Eastern and West Prince Graphic newspapers.  Our Guest panelists this morning are Jordan Brown and Margaret Anne Walsh, both lawyers in Charlottetown.
