Cancer Distress Project

PEI Cancer Care wants to find ways to alleviate that stress which is why it's taking part in a new study. Kara McQuaid-Duffy is the clinical nurse lead and educator for the PEI Cancer Care Centre and Dawn MacIsaac is the Centre's acting manager.

Blueberry Juice Health Benefits Research

Researchers at UPEI are looking at the health benefits of blueberry juice, and whether it can lower blood pressure, and help people with heart disease and diabetes.

Researcher Kathy Gotchell-Pass joins us in the studio. They are looking for people to participate in the study who are overweight, non-smokers, not diabetic, and between the ages of 21-65. Click here for more information about the nutrition research study.

Men's Sexual Victimization

Rick-Goodwin-IM.jpgThree million boys and men have been sexually victimized in Canada. The PEI Rape and Sexual Assault centre is wrapping up a conference this week with PEI health care professionals, about how to address this issue, through intervention and treatment.

Rick Goodwin, the executive director of "1in6 Inc" and the co-founder of The Men's Project in Ottawa, is running the conference.
