This week construction crews will be busy at Ecole Sur Mer, raising the walls on the new grade 8 classroom... a whole year ahead of the original schedule. In March, the province said it hadn't budgeted for the 350 thousand dollars project until 2013. The Department of Education has now changed its decision and given the go-ahead for the project. The battle isn't over yet... the French board still wants money for a grade nine classroom for September 2013. The province has rejected this request and the board is taking the matter to court.
