Reaction to AG Report

pe-hi-coliinyounker-ext-4col.jpgThe auditor general had plenty to say about the way contracts were handed out by Tourism PEI and the wait times for mental health services in the province. Colin Younker's report was tabled in the Legislature on Tuesday.

In some cases, Tourism PEI contracts were supposed to be open to competition and weren't. In others, Younker found proper approvals weren't given before the contracts were awarded.  The current minister, Robbie Henderson, says some changes have been made.

Another of the key topics in Colin Younker's report had to do with mental health services on P.E.I.It raises concerns about wait times, and a lack of long-term planning. Our political reporter Brendan Elliott addressed those concerns with Health Minister Doug Currie.
