A P.E.I. War Hero - Frederick Thornton Peters

Peters.gifThe name "Frederick Thornton Peters" may ring a bell for some Prince Edward Islanders. It was one of the names suggested for the new elementary school in Stratford. What Islanders may not know is the role that Frederick Thornton Peters played in World War Two. He was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery. He was also involved in naval intelligence...working as an advisor to Winston Churchill.

Frederick Thornton Peters died in 1942. But his cousin, Pete Paton, has kept his memory alive. Matt visited Pete recently to ask him more about his family's war hero...Frederick Thornton Peters.
