Weather costing hockey team money

The Islanders hockey team has been having to spend extra money on travel this year. Weather has kept the team on the road for extra nights, including meals, hotels and transportation.

Charlottetown Islanders Hit the Ice

The new Charlottetown Islanders have new owners, a new name and some new faces. After months of discussions, negotiations and planning the new hockey season begins. Matt Rainnie dropped by the Civic Centre to talk to Jack Nevins, Daniel Sprong and Kameron Kielly... three of the Charlottetown Islanders hitting the ice for their home opener this Friday at 7 p.m. against the Halifax Mooseheads. Then they'll take on the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles Saturday night at the Civic Centre.
