This Sunday: Decision Time!

Posted on Oct 5, 2017

Hello, Heartlanders.

It's Autumn in Canada, and now that two new Season 11 episodes have been broadcast I hope you are getting into the groove of joining the family on Sunday evenings at 7:00pm (7:30pm in Newfoundland) and watching television's favourite family drama. If you are - super, because that groove continues when another new episode graces television screens across Canada this Sunday - October 8 - on CBC.

Before I give you some information about this Sunday's new episode, titled "Decision Time," I want to remind everyone that all episodes from season 1 right through to last Sunday's season 11 episode are available online for free on CBC. If you've missed one, or just want to watch a favourite episode again, just click on 'EPISODES' on the brown banner at the top of this site and all episodes will be available to you.

I should add for all newcomers that CBC (the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) is the only broadcaster of season 11 at the moment (until next year) and cannot allow its stream to be available outside of Canada. So if you have CBC in your cable package or over-the-air, you can watch Heartland episodes on Sunday evenings, and if you are in Canada you can also watch episodes online on the website.

Now, there are many types of Heartland fans and the Thursday blog is aimed at those who want to learn a little more about the upcoming episode without having too much revealed. For you, I have posted twelve photos from this Sunday's episode and I am going to go into detail below. If you are one who dislikes spoilers of any kind and likes each episode to be a surprise then stop reading and come back after you have seen this Sunday's new episode. This is my friendly warning so you can avoid disappointment. So then...

Decision Time! That's a great title for an episode, no? There certainly is a decision that has to be made by Georgie (Alisha Newton) in this episode. But there is a lot more going on in Sunday's new episode, which was written by Ken Craw and directed by Eleanore Lindo.

In it, Tim (Chris Potter) steps up Jade’s (Madison Cheeatow) training regimen when a fierce new competitor (guest star Dana Jeffrey) shows her up at practice. Meanwhile, Georgie is faced with a difficult decision regarding what she wants to do about her equine skills. Amy (Amber Marshall) and Ty (Graham Wardle) struggle to maintain a social life now that they are parents, but things don’t quite go as planned. And Mitch (Kevin McGarry) tells Jack (Shaun Johnston) that he may not be cut out for the urban lifestyle he left Heartland for, which gets Jack thinking. And a thinking Jack is usually a good thing.

It's a fun episode where several lessons are learned. Also in this Sunday's episode are Helen Colliander as Olivia, Kerry James as Caleb, Kaitlyn Leeb as Cassandra, Wanda Cannon as Val Stanton and Kataem O'Connor as Adam.

There are lots of stories in each new episode of Heartland, and I hope you will join me in three days time to watch this latest instalment of the Heartland saga. And you won't need tissues this time. At least... I hope not.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend everyone. Enjoy your long weekend. I do hope you find the time to watch Heartland this Sunday in between (or during) dinner courses.

I'll be back next Thursday to preview episode 1104. Until then I remain, as I always will, obediently yours.
