Posted on Apr 21, 2010

Everyone at Heartland - and at the CBC - is, as Jack might say, "pleased as punch" at the recent recognition Heartland has been receiving. Click through to the blog post for the exciting news!

Firstly, hats off to and HUGE congratulations are in line for Heather Conkie, the Head Writer, Showrunner and Executive Producer of "Heartland." On Monday the Writers Guild of Canada held their 14th annual WGC Screenwriting Awards in Toronto, and Heather, who in the past has worked on the series "Road to Avonlea" and "Dark Oracle," was presented with the 4th Annual WGC Showrunner Award to honour her exceptional leadership and creative vision.

[Cue the drum roll and fanfare - take a well-deserved bow, Heather!]
