Well, Gabe was tickled by some of your questions and here are his answers. The photo included with this post is an image that fits in well with Gabe's answer to Nicole's question - it's from the Season 2 episode (213) that introduced us to PW - "Seismic Shifts". Thanks all for sending the questions in, and when you finished reading this be sure to send Jake a question in the comments section of yesterday's post.

Q: Hello Gabe! I'm Emma. I love the show and you are awesome in it! My question is how did you get into acting ?
Posted by: Emma !!! on January 19, 2010 at 02:18 PM

A: Hello Emma. I come from a family of artists and was exposed to the theatre at a very young age.

Q: Hello Gabriel or Peter. Umm my question for you is had you ever ridden a horse before Heartland? I know that for example Jessica Amlee did her first galloping on set. How about you?
Posted by: Dominique Deraiche on January 19, 2010 at 04:38 PM

A: I had some riding experience before coming to Heartland. Not much, but the on-set wranglers are excellent, talented, great people that are always there to help.

Q: Hey Gabriel, you do a fab job as PW Morris! My Question: What is your dream acting role???
Posted by: Annie on January 19, 2010 at 02:20 PM

A: Hi Anne...Funny you should ask... I am currently chasing down the role of CAPTAIN AMERICA's quite a long shot to be sure but if you're so inclined you can help me out by joining the Facebook page a friend of mine made called "Gabriel Hogan For Captain America" Tell everyone!

[Blog Whisperer: why don't I put the link in for you all... c'mon everone... how awesome would that be?? Facebook: Gabriel Hogan for Captain America]

Q: Hello Gabriel! Now that you have started on Heartland even more in the show I welcome you!!! I hope you have so much fun filming "Heartland" as much as we do watching it! So my question for you is: " If you could have any horse from the Heartland, which one would it be?" .p.s- i think you're a great actor!!! Good Job!
Posted by: amyandspartanfan on January 19, 2010 at 04:20 PM

A: Hello there and thank you for the compliments. To be honest with you I am hard pressed to pick one horse as my favourite as I have ridden a bunch of different ones and they are all great. I know it's not the answer your looking for but its true!

Q: Hello Gabriel! Good Job On Heartland! You are a very good actor. I really appreciate how you act Peter because he's the kind of warm happy smiley guys Lou needs. Anyways I will get on to my question, here it is: When you were a little kid was there anything else you wanted to do as a job or just to be an actor and how long did it take you to get into being an actor?" anyways great job in Heartland!
Posted by: Christie on January 19, 2010 at 04:24 PM

A: Hi Christie. When I was young I had dreams of playing professional hockey. I studied acting in my late teens and early 20s and I have been doing it ever since.

Q: Hi Gabe, I am loving the drama and twists with Lou that your character brings to Heartland. How do you feel about the Scott, Lou and Peter situation and how do you respond to all the fans who are hopeful for Scott and Lou? Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions. I LOVE HEARTLAND:)
Posted by: Emily B. on January 19, 2010 at 04:43 PM

A: Hey there Emily B. Well Scott is a great character and who knows what will happen on the show in the future???

Q: Hey:D I have to say you really fit in well at Heartland. There's no Peter in the books but in the show it really puts more drama. My question for you is whats it like working with Michelle?
Posted by: Alex Arnold on January 19, 2010 at 04:43 PM

A: Michelle is a great actor and it is a pleasure to work with her.

Q: Hey, just wanted to say great job. I think you're doing an awesome job of playing Peter. What I wanted to ask you is, what was the hardest scene you have to film and why? Thanks, and good luck with the rest of the series.
Posted by: Nicole on January 19, 2010 at 05:03 PM

A: The hardest scene I have shot on this show was in Seismic Shifts, the first episode I did. It was the speech Peter gives at the Heartland Ranch when it was revealed that Peter was in fact P.W. I could not for the life of me remember those lines.

Q: Hey Gabriel! I just want to say that you are doing an awesome job playing the part of Peter Morris. Keep up the awesome job! My question: What do you enjoy most about playing the role of Peter?
Posted by: Shanna on January 19, 2010 at 05:41 PM

A: My favourite thing about Peter is how easygoing he is. It's a pleasure to play.

Q: Hey, question for you is... who is the cast member on set that is the most like their character?
Posted by: Heartland84 on January 19, 2010 at 05:23 PM

A: That is a tough question...... I thought long and hard about this one and I am going to have to say Spartan.

Q: First of all great work!!! My question for you is what was it like coming onto a pretty tight cast? You came 3 quarters of the way through season 2 so it must have been strange coming onto a really developed show and a tight cast. But I think you have done a wonderful job playing your character and you contribute alot to heartland plus you are really funny!!!!!!!!
Posted by: kristin on January 19, 2010 at 05:56 PM

A: Yes, Heartland was already a well oiled machine when I arrived. I am just glad that Peter fit into the mix so nicely. Thank you for your compliments Kristin.

Q: Hey Gabriel... Mr Hogan... can I just call you Gabe?
Anyhoo, I have to say, from the moment your character first arrived on the show, I was a little shocked. The episode with Peter's oil company digging on Heartland land was... different, and you really captured the essence of who Peter Morris was supposed to be. Then, when he turned out to be PW, I think I had a mini heart attack. Peter seemed perfect for Lou, and I was so happy. And as for this past week's episode... I loved it. You, sir, are an amazing actor, and I'm so glad you're on the Heartland cast. On to my question... So, I was just wondering what went through your mind every time you were presented with a new development in Peter's character, from evil oil guy, to Lou's boyfriend, and now to Lou's fiancé? Were you shocked? Confused? Pleased that you would get more screentime with Michelle Morgan? Thanks so much for answering questions, it means a lot!
Posted by: Milly on January 19, 2010 at 06:57 PM

A: Hello Milly. I am glad you survived your mini heart attack and wish you a speedy recovery. The talented writers of Heartland have given us lots of twists and turns to play and its always a pleasure to receive the new scripts to see what happens next.

Q: Greetings, Gabe!
The character of PW Morris has really grown on me since he first waltzed into Hudson in Season 2. I was all set to dislike him for many reasons, but his charm won me over, due of course to your performance and careful plotting by your talented series writers. Compliments out of the way, here's my question: Did you land the role of PW knowing (hoping?) it could be for the long haul as opposed to a flash-in-the-pan guest appearance? Thanks so much for answering all these questions!
Posted by: TC on January 20, 2010 at 12:07 AM

A: Hey there T.C. I came to the show understanding that options had been left open with this character as far as him staying or leaving. It has been great to be able to do so many episodes.

Q: Hi Gabriel! What do you do in your free time? Greetings from Germany!
Posted by: Luca on January 20, 2010 at 02:08 AM

A: Hallo Luca. Ich Liebe Deutschland! Well, I am in Venice, California so my free time is spent mainly on the beach or in the water with my family or playing hockey.

Q: Hey Gabe! I love the addition of your character to Heartland - Well done for doing a really good job playing Peter! My question is: Who do you like acting with most on the set of Heartland?
Posted by: Maya on January 20, 2010 at 09:59 AM

A: Maya.....The cast are all so great it would be a shame to try and name just one person.

Q: Here's my question for you: What is something that people might not know about you? Thanks for your time!
Posted by: shelby on January 20, 2010 at 04:59 PM

A: Hmmmm.. A lot of things I suppose. I hate cilantro?

Q: Hey there Gabe! First of all, wanted to say that you do a fantastic job portraying your character--who've I've been calling "Precious Pete" for a while now, just because he does bring so much to the Heartland character set and plot lines. My question for you is, which is slightly random: What's your favorite comfort food? ....we've learned that Graham likes mint chocolate chip ice cream, Kerry James likes yogurt... what about Gabe? Thanks for taking the time to answer all our questions!
Posted by: Twe on January 20, 2010 at 05:38 PM

A: Thank you Twe. I don't know if it is a comfort food but I do eat a lot of almonds..... a lot.

Q: What was your favourite episode to shoot? And why?
Posted by: Brittany on January 20, 2010 at 05:46 PM

A: Thanks for the question Brittany. My favourite episode to shoot so far was the one where we went fly fishing. It was just beautiful to be out there.

Q: Hey Gabriel. Do you prefer filming the more emotional scenes, or the lighthearted ones?
Posted by: Katie on January 20, 2010 at 08:17 PM

A: Hey Katie. I prefer shooting the lighthearted ones.

Q: Hey Gabe! What do you think the funniest thing that has happened on set is? Thanks!
Posted by: Kim Ward on January 21, 2010 at 11:14 AM

A: The funniest thing that has happened on set was when Peter's dog was supposed to knock Lou down..... he could not have moved any slower!
