ALL-NEW Heartland This Sunday - Episode 1110

Posted on Jan 4, 2018

Happy New Year everyone! If you watch Heartland on CBC in Canada, 2018 is getting off to a fantastic start with brand new season 11 episodes every Sunday in January, beginning in three days on January 7.

Yes, the first half of Season 11 started in September and ended five weeks ago, on December 3 with episode 1109. For those of you new to Heartland on CBC, there is always a break from the beginning of December until January of the new year, as all series on the network take time off so CBC can air holiday and Christmas favourites. I hope you were able to watch some of them.

But that's all done now. This Sunday, episode 1110 will premiere as the second half of season 11 kicks off. This will be the new episode following 1109, which aired last month.

We get a few comments each week from new fans who are unaware that the ONLY time new episodes air across Canada on CBC are Sundays at 7:00pm (7:30pm in Newfoundland). CBC also repeats past seasons at 3:00pm during the weekdays. Currently, season 4 is being shown.

Canada loves Heartland, and there are many episodes, past and present, available for all to watch. However, the NEW episodes always air for the first time Sunday evenings on CBC.

And always remember that all past episodes are available in Canada at and the CBC TV app on iOS, Apple TV, and Android.” You can also just click on 'Episodes' at the top of this page and you can have your choice of over 180 episodes (and counting)!

Let's look ahead to this Sunday's (January 7) new episode. It is titled "A Fine Balance," and if you saw the preview you'll know it has a lot going on. Mind you, what Heartland episode doesn't?

In Sunday's episode, written by Alexandra Clarke & Heather Conkie and directed by Bruce McDonald, we continue with Ty (Graham Wardle) in danger in Mongolia. Amy (Amber Marshall), having left her cellphone at Heartland, has travelled to be with her husband. And to add a wrinkle, Tim (Chris Potter) has insisted on joining her.

Once they arrive in Asia, in order to save Ty, Amy must turn to an unexpected source for guidance. Meanwhile, while there Tim receives unsolicited advice about his past.

On the home front, Georgie (Alisha Newton) tries to focus on her upcoming competition, but pressure from Val (Wanda Cannon) rattles her confidence. Also, Peter (Gabe Hogan) and Mitch (Kevin McGarry) must take care of a cranky Lyndy (Emmanuella & Ruby Spencer) while Amy and Ty are away. And Jack (Shaun Johnston) remains the patriarch of the ranch, adding babysitting to his expanding skill set.

There is added intrigue for Georgie as Dylan (Rhys Matthew Bond) continues to take an interest in her. And Julia Baker is back in this episode as Katie.

Other guest appearances are by Batbayar Dorj as Bata and by BatzorigTsog-Erdene as Bazo.

To save answering this on our social media platforms (though I'm sure I will still have to) the featured song at the end of the episode is called "Courage Is Found" performed by AHI. This song will be added to CBC's Heartland music stream shortly.

And if you don't know, you can tell by some of the episode photos I have posted, this was the first Fans as Extras Day episode. If you were on set that day, try to see if you can spot yourself in the crowd.

So that's all for this week Heartlanders. Please watch for an extended first look tomorrow, and tune in to CBC on Sunday to watch the concluding half of the two-episode story that started with Heartland's last new episode.

I'll be back next Thursday to tell you about episode 1111, which will air in 10 days. But first, let's get excited for episode 1110 - "A Fine Balance." I hope you all enjoy it.

Until next week I shall remain, as always, obediently yours.
