Ahhh… another Thursday - and more miscellaneous Heartland items

Episode 318

As it's Thursday, I thought I would come up with a potpourri of different things - dispelling some rumours and answering a few questions that get asked repeatedly (and repeatedly, and repeatedly!) here on the site. Click though for more!!!

In addition - for your viewing pleasure - here are some never-before-seen-photos from the season 3 finale - I hadn't shown these to you before because I didn't want to give away that [SPOILER ALERT!!!!] Lou and Peter did in fact get married, but since all but three of you know they have I thought I should share a few more photographs that Heartland's stills photographer, Andrew Bako, took during production.

1) Now - to clarify - Season 4 of Heartland will begin filming in and around Calgary in late May. There will be 18 new episodes that will begin broadcasting on the CBC beginning in late September (or early October) and will run every Sunday at 7:00pm (7:30pm in Newfoundland). All your favourite actors are (of course!) returning to reprise their roles and there will be - perhaps - a few surprises.

2) The DVDs for Seasons 1 and 2 are coming out in Canada on May 4. They'll be available for purchase at lots (and lots) of retailers and of course at Amazon.ca and the CBC online shop (which you can get to in the link from the menu bar.) Season 3 will be coming out on DVD as well, but that'll be a while in the future. When a date is announced you'll find out about it here!

3) Now... I've received a lot of questions from people who are wondering how they might get to appear on the show as a background extra. Next week I'll have some information for those of you who are interested in this sort of thing.

4) On behalf of Amber Marshall, thanks for all (meaning the THOUSANDS) of suggestions on what to rename her horse, who is in his last week or so of being known as "Harry". Amber is still going through the names and will have a decision made in time for me to post next week. We hope. You all really came through... we didn't expect such an AMAZING response. SO... no more suggestions please! That ship has sailed!!! (Or, perhaps I should write, "That horse has left its stall!!!")

5) I mentioned earlier that Amber Marshall will be appearing at a meet and greet signing in Red Deer on Saturday, April 24. Coincidentally on the same day from 2:30pm - 4:30pm Jessica Amlee (Mallory), Graham Wardle (Ty), Kerry James (Caleb) and Jake Church (Jake) will appear for a meet and greet at the A & T Equestrian Centre in Surrey, BC. The Centre can only hold 350 people, so if you intend to go please email Tanis at atequestrian@shaw.ca to request a ticket - they are free, but are on a first come, first served basis. And I think they are going to go fast.

6) Also, Heartland will be going into syndication in the United States in October of this year, so those of you in the US can start watching the series from the beginning. Again, when more details are known you can read about it here. I PROMISE!!!

7) And lastly, you have until Friday aftenoon to get in your question for Dean Bennett, Heartland director, before I close them off. So do it NOW!

That's it for this week - have a great weekend, everyone!
