The 4 S’s of Thai Cuisine

Thai cuisine usually consists of lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components and balance of flavor and texture are super important. When you think about flavor balance, think of the 4 S's: Salty, Sweet, Sour, Spicy.  When you're cooking you should be tasting as you go, so if something tastes a little too salty, try adding a little more sugar to the dish. If it tastes a little too sour add a little salt and if it's too spicy a little sugar should do the trick. You get this picture.
